This international benchmark measures the maturity and capacity of an organization’s processes, certifying its expertise in product and service development in the areas of systems and software engineering.
This appraisal, once again given by the Spanish consultant PROQUA, keeps Novabase in the élite group of certified software companies headquartered in Portugal.
Novabase Executive Director Carmo Palma says that “this internationally recognized evaluation attests to the quality of Novabase’s software, and serves as yet another guarantee to our customers and partners. As such, it is an important acknowledgment which underscores the market’s confidence in Novabase as an information technology specialist.”
In addition to renewing its certification in Portugal (first obtained in 2008), Novabase has the same appraisal in Spain, and was the first company to achieve CMMI Maturity Level 3 in Angola (2011) and in Mozambique (2015).
CMMI is a model for best international practices of the CMMI Institute developed by the Software Engineering Institute research and development centre under the U.S. Department of Defence and implemented by Carnegie Mellon University. Its goal is to improve processes for developing and maintaining software solutions to leverage organizational performance.
