Novabase was the company responsible for renovating the entire ticket validation system of Transtejo/Soflusa, in what is the first project for installing next generation validators in public transport operators in the Lisbon region.
The implemented solution, completely integrated with the Lisboa Viva system by OTLIS, is prepared to receive other ticket format technologies without requiring additional equipment (namely mobile systems with smartphone applications), while also ensuring interoperability with other public transport that is part of Lisboa Viva.
The new system replaces technology that is almost 20 years old and it will allow Transtejo/Soflusa to manage validations and control the number of passengers on board ships more effectively and with more reliable operating indicators, not to mention lower failure rates.
For the passengers of public river transport, this technological modernization brings more intuitive graphic interfaces that exhibit simpler messages allowing users to incorporate other format technologies, adding more ease and convenience to their daily mobility.

Implementation of this new system has helped meet these objectives, significantly improving the mobility of some 60,000 passengers who use our vessels every day."
